Mayamiko
Established by Paola Masperi, Mayamiko The Label is an ethical and sustainable woman's wear and life style brand, producing clothes, accessories and homeware, lovingly made in Malawi by our team of tailors, pattern cutters and seamstresses. Our collections are cross-seasonal and are inspired by African artisanal traditions and prints, with ethical trading and sustainability at our core. Our collections are designed for the global modern woman, while giving ode to their birthplace through the use of traditional African techniques and local printed fabrics, locally referred to as Chitenje.
As we continue to grow, our vision is to bring you a lovingly designed selection of unique products, made by handpicked artisans all over the globe. At the moment you can choose from embroidery from Sri Lanka, handloom from Myanmar, reclaimed jewellery from Laos and upcycled silk from Italy. Visit our Products page for more information.
We strongly believe that ethical and sustainable production is the only acceptable way of producing, and feel that shopping ethically should not compromise the quality or design of the product but rather enhance and add value to it.

Henri
Henrietta founded Henri in 2016 after studying at London college of Fashion and working as a freelance pattern cutter. Particularly interested in form, fit and function she wanted to create a niche line of shirts that could be versatile design wise, yet still required the need for excellent pattern cutting and attention to detail. Her love of the English country side and Devon coastline adds a practical and care-free element to a range that is otherwise tailored, giving the renowned Henri fit for being comfortably chic.
Through working on Henri, Henrietta has developed a passion for continued learning on sustainability and social responsibility within the business. Visiting the communities behind the Henri shirts opened her eyes to the importance of continued ethical outsourcing and provided another reason to push the business forward. She is committed to growing Henri so that more rural communities and more disadvantage women may find dignified and meaningful employment within the Henri supply chain.

Bibico by Snow
“As soon as I walked through the door of the women's cooperative in Mumbai I realised my idea of creating a more sustainable clothing company was going to be possible.
Inspired by the things that matter to me most - my love of the outdoors, simple, family pleasures and my home in Northern Spain, I sat down to sketch my first bibico collection.
Currently we work with two women's cooperatives that are both fair trade certified by the WFTO. The cooperatives provide women with training, education and work, empowering them to move themselves and their children forward and out of the world of poverty.
We don’t think we are saving the world but just doing our little bit...

We strive to eliminate unnecessary details, creating calm designs that become favourites to reach for day after day.
“By focusing on creating simple, well designed, well constructed styles that fill a real need we can contribute to spreading a calm perspective of consumption, encouraging the mindful behaviour that is needed in this environmentally threatened world.” – Filippa Knutsson, Founder and Creative Director
Today, Filippa K has grown internationally – sharing a mission to approach fashion from a global perspective of mindful consumption by creating garments that are timeless in their quality and style, and luxurious in their simplicity.”

Being Responsible
We are inspired by making changes and paving a way for fashion to have a more sustainable future. We do this by asking questions, producing ethically, reducing wastage, using off-cuts where we can for sampling and keeping consumption low. Although we sell to other countries outside of the UK, we only averagely make two trips a year to visit them, travelling at key times and ensuring coverage of all topics during one visit.

Not Perfect Linen
Finding perfect in imperfection
“A family of creative people who are passionate about their work welcomes you to our "not PERFECT LINEN" home. Our family - run brand is everything about ensuring quality, promoting transparency, enforcing sustainable practices and ethical approach. We empower our customers to lead the manufacture process by working on pre - order basis and while producing in line with demand we are able to reduce waste and offer reasonable prices by cutting waste - related loss. For us creating ethical items bring the sense of community and it is like quiet protest against mass produced goods. We do not make things just to make money. The items are not just for profit. We make goods that involve years of learned skills, passion, commitment and sincerity.”

Cus
How we do it
We design, source, and manufacture our clothes with one aim in mind: to maximize benefits for the people we work with whilst minimizing the impact on the environment. Respecting the people we work with, building relationships, and caring about our natural environment are as much as important than the clothes we create.
